MTC opens technical laboratories

Muscat: The Military Technological College (MTC) on Wednesday celebrated the opening of a number of technical laboratories.

The ceremony was held under the auspices of Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Military Technological College.

The event was in pursuance of the ongoing modernisation and development of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) during the prosperous reign of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander. It formed part of efforts to upgrade the college’s educational system.

The chief guest listened to a briefing about the stages of establishment of technical laboratories at the college.

 The project, which goes in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, aims to add new academic disciplines in the fields of environment-friendly energy, artificial intelligence (AI) the Internet of Things and cybersecurity.
