Third round of Iran-US talks end in Muscat, next meet on May 3

Muscat: Iran and the United States have concluded a third round of high-level nuclear talks in Muscat on Saturday.

Both the sides again decided to meet on May 3rd for the next round of discussion.

After the meeting, Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi, said, “US-Iran talks on Saturday identified a shared aspiration to reach agreement based on mutual respect and enduring commitments. Core principles, objectives and technical concerns were all addressed. Talks will continue next week with a further high level meeting provisionally scheduled for May 3rd.”

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US envoy Steve Witkoff led the talks in the presence of Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi.

Iran and the US have held two rounds of talks in Oman and Italy in the past two weeks to reach a deal on Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of sanctions on Tehran.
