Police arrest expat for facilitating illegal entry

Muscat: The police command  in South Al Batinah have arrested a Syrian national for aiding the illegal entry of six Ethiopian nationals into the country.

According to the South Al Batinah Governorate Police Command, the suspect arranged transportation for the individuals in a rented vehicle after prior coordination with another person of the same nationality. Investigations also revealed that he had previously been involved in smuggling other infiltrators into the country.

Legal procedures are currently underway against the accused, Royal Oman Police added.
