Two expats held for fake real estate advertisements

Muscat: Muscat Governorate Police Command arrested two persons of Egyptian nationality for posting fake advertisements on social media and marketing applications.

They offered residential, commercial, and entertainment buildings for rent at low prices with an intent to commit fraud.

They received money from the victims as a down payment to confirm the reservations, using fake names to conceal their identities and evading justice. Legal procedures are being completed against them.
