Addis Ababa--- The Sultanate of Oman is taking part in in the second United Nations Food Systems Summit (UNFSS+4) being held in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
The summit, which will conclude tomorrow (29 July 2025), is jointly organized by the governments of Ethiopia and Italy.
Oman's delegation is led by Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.
The summit will review global progress in transforming food systems in a manner that contributes to the realization of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The summit seeks to enhance joint action, assess national and international efforts and mobilize resources to support the establishment of comprehensive, sustainable and resilient systems that provide food security and nutrition for all.
The summit is being attended by heads of state and governments, ministers, representatives of United Nations agencies and international organizations, representatives of civil society institutions, researchers, youth and agricultural producers from around the world.
