Burkina Faso President meets OIA Chairman

Ouagadougou: President Ibrahim Traoré of Burkina Faso on Wednesday received Abdulsalam Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA) at the presidential palace in Ouagadougou.

Al Murshidi is visiting Burkina Faso to discuss prospects for cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and Burkina Faso in economic and investment fields.

During the meeting, Al Murshidi conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Ibrahim Traoré, along with His Majesty the Sultan’s wishes of success to the President.

He also conveyed His Majesty’s wishes of progress, prosperity and stability for the friendly people of Burkina Faso.

For his part, President Ibrahim Traoré asked Al Murshidi to convey his greetings to His Majesty the Sultan, along with his wishes of good health and wellbeing to His Majesty the Sultan. He also wished the Omani people further progress and prosperity.

The meeting touched on efforts to enhance economic and investment cooperation in various spheres.

 It underscored the commitment of the two countries’ leaderships to expand areas of cooperation in a manner that serves the common interests of the peoples of both countries.
