Bahla: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism has signed a contract to loan archaeological artifacts to the company investing in the development and operation of Bahla Fort, a prominent UNESCO World Heritage Site. This move aims to enhance the display of Omani cultural artifacts and activate partnerships between the public and private sectors.
The collaboration is part of an effort to revitalize heritage sites and improve the visitor experience by showcasing authentic artifacts inside the fort and its mosque. This will reflect the site's rich history and strategic importance in Oman's past.
The contract involves loaning a carefully selected and classified collection of artifacts discovered in and around Bahla Fort, its mosque, and nearby areas. These items will be displayed in halls within the fort and the mosque, following development in collaboration with the investing company, to align with international standards for showcasing cultural heritage.
