Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman joined the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in celebrating its 95th National Day today.
The celebration was organised by the General Secretariat for National Celebrations in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police (ROP) at the Rub' al-Khali border crossing in Al Dhahirah Governorate, which connects the Sultanate of Oman to the land border of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The program included several artistic performances that embodied the deep-rooted relations between the two brotherly countries. The ceremony began with musical pieces performed by the Royal Oman Police Music Band, a visual presentation showcasing the relations between the two brotherly countries, and a patriotic song accompanied by an artistic performance by the Al-Ayala Art Troupe.
The ceremony also included the participation of the Saudi Folk Arts Troupe, a paragliding display, and a collection of folk performances, including the enthusiastic Razfa and Al-Azi arts.
His Excellency Ibrahim bin Saad bin Bishan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Sultanate of Oman, emphasised the importance of the land border crossing, which connects the two brotherly countries and enhances cooperation, trade and investment exchange, and social communication between the two countries.
His Excellency pointed to upcoming preparations for import and export operations between the two countries in the economic zone currently under construction in Al Dhahirah Governorate, located near the Rub' al Khali border crossing.
He explained that the vision of both brotherly countries is moving towards integration, given their historical and fraternal relations, for a promising future under the leadership of both wise leaders.
It is worth noting that the celebration of Saudi National Day reflects the deep fraternal ties and bonds of love that bind the two countries and peoples, embodying their joint cooperation in various fields.
The celebration was attended by a number of officials from both the Omani and Saudi sides.
