Muscat: The Al Dakhliyah Governorate Police Command has successfully apprehended two individuals suspected of possessing counterfeit Omani currency. The arrests occurred after the suspects attempted to illegally exchange the fake notes for official currency through one of the local banks in the governorate.
The operation highlights the vigilance of banking institutions and the swift response of the Royal Oman Police (ROP) in combating financial crime.
Legal actions against the two persons are currently underway.
