Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Turkiye held a session of talks at Al Alam Palace today.
At the outset of the session, His Majesty the Sultan reiterated his welcome to President Erdogan and his accompanying delegation. On his turn, President Erdogan expressed his utmost thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the warm welcome and hospitality.
The session reviewed the historical ties and the relations of cooperation and partnership between the two countries, as well as means of promoting them to serve interests of the two countries’ peoples. The two leaders also discussed a set of regional and international topics of mutual interest.
The session of talks was attended from the Omani side by HH Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Marshadi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Qais bin Mohamed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Saif bin Rashid Al Jahwari, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Republic of Turkiye.
Meanwhile, it was attended from the Turkish side by Necmettin Bilal Erdogan, son of the President, Hakan Fidan, Foreign Minister, Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Yasar Guler, Minister of Defence, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology, Omer Bolat, Minister of Trade, Mehmet Hakimoğlu, Ambassadorof the Republic of Turkiye to the Sultanate of Oman and several officials.
