
Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral relations during the 13th meeting of the Oman-UK Strategic Advisory Group, held in Cardiff.
The high-level gathering focused on advancing shared financial, investment, and economic objectives, with both sides engaging in constructive dialogue on key areas of mutual interest. Discussions centered around industrial strategy, the rapidly evolving space sector, and collaborative efforts to achieve Net Zero emissions.
Delegates also explored mechanisms to enhance the ecosystem for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), recognising their vital role in driving innovation and economic resilience. Decentralisation initiatives were another focal point, reflecting a shared interest in empowering local governance and fostering inclusive development.
The meeting underscored the enduring partnership between Oman and the UK, built on shared values and a forward-looking approach to global challenges. Both nations expressed their intent to continue working closely across strategic sectors to promote prosperity and sustainability.
