Geography Laboratory for Modern Technologies inaugurated in A’Rustaq

A’Rustaq: The Geography Laboratory for Modern Technologies was inaugurated on Sunday in the Al Hazm area of the Wilayat of A’Rustaq.

The facility aims to support the educational process by providing a practical environment that enables the application of geographical concepts in a realistic manner.

The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Dr. Abdullah Khamis Ambusaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education.

The opening of the laboratory marks a significant step towards enhancing the use of modern geographic technologies within schools. This is achieved through the advanced equipment housed in the laboratory, which includes surveying tools, topographic mapping instruments, GPS devices, and cartographic drafting and spatial analysis software.

The inauguration also highlighted methods for activating these tools in the classroom setting, in addition to how teachers can leverage them to deliver more interactive and reality-based lessons, which positively impacts the quality of learning outcomes.
