28 international boxers set for FFC showdown in Muscat

MUSCAT: Twenty-eight boxers from various countries will compete in the upcoming FITBOX Fighting Championship (FFC) on Friday, December 5, at the Oman Automobile Association — marking one of the strongest international line-ups in the event’s history in Oman.

Now in its fourth edition, the championship continues to draw growing regional and global interest, with fighters representing a wide mix of combat styles and weight categories. Organisers say the expanded roster reflects both the rising popularity of boxing in the Sultanate and FFC’s progress in positioning itself as a credible international platform.

The event is held in cooperation with the World Boxing Council (WBC), with FFC serving as the council’s official representative in Oman to ensure all technical and organisational standards meet global requirements.

Combat sports have gained steady traction in the country, and hosting the championship at the Oman Automobile Association aligns with Oman’s broader ambition to attract major sporting events.

A strong crowd is expected for what promises to be a high-energy night of competition.
