Oman condemns attack on civilians in Sydney

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted civilians on one of the beaches of Sydney, Australia, which resulted in a number of innocent victims.

The Foreign Ministry expressed its sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the families of the victims, and to the government and people of friendly Australia, and its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry of the Sultanate of Oman affirmed its firm stance in condemning violence and terrorism in all its forms and motivations, reiterating its call for the importance of promoting the values of coexistence and tolerance among different religions and cultures, and enhancing international understanding and cooperation to combat the scourge of extremism.
