
Minsk: The National Museum signed two strategic cooperation agreements with the National Art Museum and the National Library of the Republic of Belarus, in the Belarusian capital, Minsk.
The signing coincided with the inauguration of the "Oman Day" events and the opening of the exhibition titled "The Splendor of Silver: Treasures from the Omani Court".
The first agreement, signed with the Belarusian National Art Museum, aims to host a specialized Belarusian art exhibition at the National Museum in Muscat next January. This upcoming exhibition will feature a collection of avant-garde artworks dating back to the early 20th century.
The agreement was signed by Jamal bin Hassan Al Moosawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum and Irina Matyas, Director General of the National Art Museum.
The second agreement was signed with the National Library in Minsk to host an exhibition of Islamic manuscripts from Belarus. The collection will be drawn from the prestigious holdings of the National Library in Minsk and will be displayed at the National Museum in Oman.
The agreement was signed by Jamal bin Hassan Al Moosawi, Secretary-General of the National Museum and Vadim Gigin, Director General of the Belarusian National Library.
The signing ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including HH Sayyida Dr. Mona bint Fahd Al Said, Assistant Vice-Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University for International Cooperation and Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum, Abdullah bin Hamad Al Riyami, Head of the Cultural Cooperation Department at the Foreign Ministry and Ruslan Chernetsky, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus.
