Workers detained for sabotage, destruction of property in Oman

Muscat: The Al Dakhiliyah Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Muscat Governorate Police Command and other police formations, carried out special security operations to control a gathering of expatriate workers at one of the companies in the Wilayat of Izki, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.

The gathering involved acts of vandalism targeting some residential facilities and a number of vehicles, in addition to preventing a group of workers from accessing their workplaces. The incident was handled by the Special Task Force and the concerned police units in accordance with the approved security intervention plan, with the aim of containing the situation and maintaining public order and safety.

Legal procedures have been taken against the individuals involved in the acts of sabotage. This comes within the framework of the Royal Oman Police’s keenness to enforce the law and safeguard lives, property, and public security.
