Al Dakhiliyah Governorate launches Omani identity event “Bridges” at Nizwa Fort

Nizwa: The Endowments and Religious Affairs Department in A’Dakhiliyah Governorate today launched a 4-day event at Nizwa Fort codenamed "Bridges: Oman, Identity and Civilization".

The event seeks to brief visitors about the features of Omani identity and cultural heritage as manifested in Nizwa Fort. The briefing takes shape through exhibits of four sections, in the fort’s yearlong exposition, titled “Omani Identity”, “Islamic Publications”, “Muslim Women” and “Hospitality”.

Saad Suleiman Al Kindi, Head of the Cultural Exchange Section at the Endowments and Religious Affairs Department, said, “This event (Bridges) was organized earlier at different locations, but the Fort Nizwa edition bears special significance due to the fact that the fort attracts a large number of visitors on a daily basis from the Sultanate of Oman and abroad.”
