ROP Bausher operation ends in over 50 arrests for excessive vehicle noise

Muscat: In a major operation to restore tranquility to the capital, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) arrested 59 vehicle drivers for causing significant public disturbance. The crackdown, centered in the Wilayat of Bausher, targeted individuals using modified exhaust systems to generate excessive noise in the popular Bausher Sands area.

Royal Oman Police (ROP), said in a statement :"Muscat Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Special Tasks Police Unit in Bausher, stopped 59 vehicle drivers for disturbing public peace and tranquility by making noises from their vehicle exhausts in the sands of the Wilayat of Bausher , and impounded 20 vehicles for violating traffic safety requirements. The legal procedures are being completed against the violators."
