OCT Al Mabela & Braveheart XI claim T20 Title

The Oman Cricket Domestic T20 tournaments concluded on a high note with thrilling finals showcasing the depth of talent across the country’s domestic cricket circuit followed by a prize distribution ceremony attended by Mr. Madhusinh Jesrani, Secretary – Oman Cricket and Mr. Duleep Mendis, Chief Development Officer – Oman Cricket.

In the All Omani T20 Tournament final, OCT Al Mabela registered a convincing 7-wicket victory over OCT Muscat. OCT Muscat struggled to build momentum, posting only 84/8 in their allotted 20 overs, as Mabela’s disciplined bowling attack kept the scoring under control throughout the innings. Chasing a modest target, OCT Al Mabela paced their innings intelligently and reached 85/3 in just 15.2 overs, securing the championship with ease. Waleed Rahim Al Balushi was named Player of the Tournament for his stellar contributions, amassing a total of 282 runs, which proved instrumental in guiding Mabela to the title.

The Intermediate T20 Tournament final saw Braveheart XI set a challenging target of 176 all out in 20 overs against SFT. Despite timely breakthroughs from SFT’s bowlers, Braveheart XI’s total was enough to clinch the championship after SFT’s top order firing, but middle order failed to finish for the team. Shoaib Al Balushi was adjudged Player of the Tournament for his remarkable all-round performance, scoring 206 runs and taking 5 wickets, while Shravan Sharat Kurup, an upcoming talent aged 13, earned Consolation Player of the Tournament honors with an outstanding tally of 16 wickets in 6 matches throughout the tournament.

The finals and prize distribution ceremony reflected the growing competitiveness and professionalism of Oman’s domestic cricket, providing a platform for emerging talent to shine.
