Endowments Ministry reviews 2026 executive plan in North Al Batinah Governorate

Sohar: The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs reviewed the pillars of its 2026 executive plan in North Al Batinah Governorate during a meeting between Dr. Mohammed Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, and Mohammed Sulaiman Al Kindi, Governor of North Al Batinah.

Dr. Mohammed Said Al Maamari, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, emphasized that the 1447 AH / 2026 AD plan stems from an integrated institutional path focusing on impact and quality outcomes. He noted that the Ministry has designated this year as the "Year of Mastery" to consolidate the values of quality and excellence and to strengthen a work methodology based on efficiency, sustainability, and measurable results, following a progressive developmental path the Ministry has undertaken in recent years.

The meeting addressed the general orientations of the Ministry's work, which center on the governance of the religious sector, the development of moderate religious discourse, and enhancing the role of religious institutions in building community awareness. It also covered the optimal investment of endowments (Waqf), the development of Zakat resources, and the expansion of digital transformation and electronic services to improve service quality and enhance beneficiary experiences.

Furthermore, the meeting reviewed key executive programs the Ministry is currently implementing, including Quranic education, Iftaa, preaching and guidance, and the promotion of national identity, alongside the development of endowment and Zakat revenues. The discussions also highlighted digital transformation initiatives and efforts to improve the beneficiary experience, aiming to raise institutional performance efficiency and achieve higher levels of satisfaction.

For his part, the Governor stressed the importance of strengthening the partnership between the Ministry and North Al Batinah Governorate in the areas of endowment management and development, religious service enhancement, and improving the operational efficiency of religious facilities. He also discussed addressing operational challenges and enhancing joint coordination to contribute to balanced development and serve the local community.

He noted the Ministry's efforts in developing the religious and endowment work system and enhancing its social and developmental role, affirming that these efforts reflect a clear institutional vision moving steadily toward achieving the objectives of "Oman Vision 2040." He also touched upon the active role undertaken by the Department of Endowments and Religious Affairs in North Al Batinah Governorate and its initiatives across the governorate’s wilayats, including the organization and management of mosque affairs, the implementation of awareness and community programs, and efforts to serve applicants and develop services provided to them.
