Muscat: The Omani Hajj Mission has emphasized that performing the pilgrimage requires an official permit, a regulation fundamental to ensuring the safety of all pilgrims and the smooth flow of rituals. This directive is part of an ongoing effort to educate the public on the risks associated with performing Hajj without proper authorization.
His Eminence Dr. Kahlan bin Nabhan Al-Kharousi, Assistant Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, explained that following these regulations is an act of reverence for the rites of God. He noted that compliance reflects a pilgrim's commitment to performing their worship both safely and correctly.
The mission highlighted several consequences of violating established regulations:
Unauthorized participation causes overcrowding that infringes upon the rights of others and diminishes the quality of services provided.
Attempting to bypass regulations distracts pilgrims and negatively affects the spirit of tranquility and devotion required for worship.
Behaviors such as entering the country illegally contradict the core values and purposes of Hajj.
Stressing the importance of advance planning, the mission likened the pilgrimage to other journeys where organization is a priority. By adhering to these instructions, pilgrims contribute to an organized and safe environment, ensuring the spiritual journey is conducted with the necessary responsibility and awareness for the safety of the entire community.
