Hajj Mission team heads to Madinah to serve Omani pilgrims

Makkah Al-Mukarramah: A team from the Omani Hajj Mission for the year 1447 AH, headed by Dr. Zahir bin Abdullah Al-Hosni, Deputy Head of the Mission for Hajj Affairs and Hajj Companies, departed on Saturday for Madinah to provide services to Omani pilgrims arriving in the holy city.

Dr. Al-Hosni said in a statement to Oman News Agency that around 3,000 pilgrims will travel to Madinah to visit the Prophet’s Mosque before proceeding to Makkah to perform Hajj rituals. He noted that the mission team will continue operating in Madinah until the fifth of Dhul-Hijjah.

He explained that the team’s work in Madinah includes delivering religious preaching and guidance services through the Fatwa and Religious Guidance delegation, healthcare services through the medical delegation, and security and safety services through the delegation of the Royal Oman Police.

Members of the Hajj Companies Supervision delegation will also conduct field visits to inspect the conditions of Omani pilgrims arriving in Madinah, meet them at their accommodation sites, and ensure they receive services agreed upon under contracts signed with Hajj companies.

The total number of pilgrims from the Sultanate of Oman this year reached 14,000, including 13,560 Omani pilgrims and 440 resident pilgrims.
