Oman, Iran hold talks on navigation safety in Strait of Hormuz

Muscat: Oman and Iran held talks in Muscat on Saturday on ensuring the safety and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz amid the implications of recent regional developments.

During the discussions, both sides agreed to continue consultations at the technical and political levels to reach the necessary agreements in accordance with international law.

The Omani delegation was led by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, while the Iranian delegation was headed by Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
