Sayyid Badr meets Norwegian counterpart in Manila

Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, met Espen Barth Eide, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting being held in Manila to mark the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The two Ministers reviewed the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two countries and explored ways to further strengthen ties.

They also exchanged views on the latest regional developments, underscoring the importance of de-escalation and supporting the uninterrupted flow of maritime navigation and supply chains through the Strait of Hormuz.
