Majlis to discuss ninth-five-year plan, Oman's budget

Muscat: A discussion on the ministerial statements of the Minister of Higher Education and the Minister of Manpower will be organised tomorrow, said Sheikh Ali bin Nasser Al Mahrooqi, Secretary General of the Majlis Al Shura .
The second annual sitting of the Majlis Al Shura will commence with three video presentations, the first to be delivered by the Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Planning on the evaluation of the performance of the ninth five–year-plan; the second on the food security system to be presented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Wealth and the third video presentation will be on the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC).
The Secretary General of the Majlis Al Shura said that the agenda of the first regular meeting of the second annual sitting would comprise a brief on the draft state budget for 2017, the response of the government on the observations of the Council of Oman on the draft of the ninth five– year-plan and the state budget, the approval of the action plans of the committees of the Majlis Al Shura and several ministerial responses to the Majlis Al Shura on the various aspects of development in the Sultanate of Oman.
Majlis Al Shura will hold, tomorrow, its second annual sitting 2016/2017 of the 8th term 2015-2019 .
