Training programme on project management conducted

Muscat: A training programme on professional project management was held at the Knowledge Oasis Muscat by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), represented by its Human Resources Development Centre.
The programme was moderated by Laith Al Harthi of entropedia, who noted that having skills in project management in the current era is essential and necessary for every organisation, taking into account that the majority of organisations include a number of projects in their strategic goals. Therefore, he said, Project Management Institute (PMI) was found to be the leading international not-for-profit professional membership association for the project management profession.
Al Harthi added that the Sultanate is witnessing a quantum leap at all levels and in various fields, which makes implementation of projects significant.
“The field of project management is developing in the country and more professionals are entering the field. Besides, there is a growing demand to learn and apply a scientific and proper approach in project management by a large segment of public and private sector bodies,” he pointed out.
It is worth mentioning that this programme comes within PEIE’s plan for 2016 to train and develop its human resources who are based in the various industrial estates pertaining to PEIE.
