New Delhi, India: The film industry power couples and their romance may give fans major relationship goals but in 2016 "pyaar" seemed "impossible" for celebrities, signalling the end of many fairytale love stories.
From Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt to Bollywood's Farhan Akhtar-Adhuna Bhabani many marriages came to an end. The year also saw Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif and Sushant Singh Rajput-Ankita Lokhande part ways.
Jolie-Pitt: One of the most shocking break-ups of the year was that of Hollywood's A-list couple Jolie and Pitt.
Shipped by fans as 'Brangelina', they split just two years after their marriage.
The couple, who share three biological and three adopted children, are headed for an acrimonious split after Jolie filed for divorce on September 19, citing "irreconcilable differences".
