Goodbye 2016: Legendary pianist Stephen Devassy to perform in Oman

Muscat: The festivities to bring in the New Year 2017 have already begun at​ The​ Country Club with a lot of glitz and fervor.
Highly sought after and decorated musician Stephen Devassy will be performing with his ‘Solid Band’ in Oman. Hailing from Palakkad, Kerala Stephen started his career at an early age and has performed on stage around the world. He also holds the record for being the highest Asian scorer in Piano exams from Trinity College of Music.
Mr. Rajeev Reddy, ​Chair​man & Managing Director, The Country Club Group said: “This year our members and their guests can expect more fun, entertainment and an increased participation from families. We keep to our promise of giving our members nothing but the best. In terms of holding this event publicly, there are no plans in the near future. We will retain it as an event for members and their guests.”
The New Year bash is an invitation-only event for members and their guests. Simultaneously, The Country Club is also planning similar New Year Parties in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain.
​India's iconic musician Stephen Devassy sharing his view on the forthcoming event said: “We have been performing with ​The ​Country Club and have always wished to perform in Muscat. The city is one of my favourites as I have visited the place several times for a lot of shows. It is a fun place to be with full of life and wonderful people. We are certainly looking forward to our performance on 31st night.”
Country Club celebrates several global festivals by inviting leading stars from the entertainment industry to perform for its members. The New Year’s party is one of the several events to ensure members spend quality time with their family and friends. Along with Stephen’s magical performance, the mellifluous voice of Shyam & Remya and the dazzling dancers of Angels’ Group, evening will be set ablaze in the fire of anticipation to welcome Year 2017 with all its glory.
The evening is meticulously planned out by The Country Club, in association with Orbit Events Management, known for organizing and managing high quality events. This mega New Year party is scheduled for 31 December 2016 at Qurum Amphitheater. Gates open at 6 pm and the show will begin from 8 pm onwards.
