Heads of Oman's Municipal Councils take oath

Muscat: Governors, heads of the Municipal Councils in the governorates took oath yesterday before Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, according to the Article (10) of the Municipal Councils Law.
The governors who took oath were Sheikh Yahya bin Hamoud bin Hamad Al Ma’amari, Governor of North A’Sharqiyah, Sayyid Khalifa bin Al Murdas bin Ahmed Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, Sayyid Ibrahim bin Said bin Ibrahim Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi, Dr. Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Hilal Al Sa’adi, Governor of A’Dakhiliyah, Sheikh Muhanna bin Saif bin Salim Al Lamki, Governor of North Al Batinah, Sheikh Hilal bin Said bin Hamdan Al Hajri, Governor of South Al Batinah, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mustahail bin Salim Shamas, Governor of South A’Sharqiyah, Sheikh Said bin Hamyar bin Mohammed Al Shihi, Governor of A’Dhahirah and Sheikh Me’athad bin Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Ya’aqoubi, Governor of Al Wusta.
The Minister of Interior met the governors and thanked them for their appreciated efforts made during the first term of the Municipal Councils. He also asked them to convey his thanks and appreciation to the outgoing members of the Municipal Councils, praising for their efforts exerted during their membership at the Council.
Sayyid Faisal wished the governors and current members of the Municipal Councils success in carrying out their roles. He also urged them to exert efforts in serving the country and citizens.

Eng. Mohsen bin Mohammed bin Ali Al Sheikh, Chairman of Muscat Municipality, Head of the 2nd Term Municipal Council in the Governorate of Muscat took oath before Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal bin Saud Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court.
The Minister of Interior met at the General Diwan of the Ministry yesterday with the Head and members of the Main Committee for the Municipal Councils 2nd Term Elections.
Sayyid Hamoud thanked them for their roles in facilitating the electoral process. He also valued their efforts in succeeding this national event. -ONA
