'Essence of Oman' event continues in Vilnius

Vilnius: A media activity themed 'Essence of Oman' continues in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius. The event has been organised by the Ministry of Information, in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry and several government and national agencies until February 28.
A series of media and art activities were organised to highlight the Sultanate and its civilised landmarks and ancient history, as well as achievements of the modern renaissance under the prosperous reign of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
Dr. Fahd Al Zedjali gave a lecture about the Omani frankincense, locally known as "Luban" and its many benefits.
On the sidelines of the associating activities, an exhibition for photos and silverworks was organised reflecting beauties of the Sultanate's governorates, their historic and tourist landmarks, marvellous nature and faces of the Omani man life.
The Omani Oud Hobbyist Association staged solo and soli musical pieces that received a large turnout of visitors.
