Indian schools in Oman to organise counselling for CBSE exams

Muscat: Experts will advise students of Indian schools and their parents on how to handle exam related stress, a statement from Indian School Board said.
The Board of Directors, Indian Schools in Oman is organising examination guidance seminar for the students appearing at the forthcoming Indian CBSE exams.
Experts will speak on stress symptoms, dealing with anxiety, making realistic study plans and revisions and parent counselling.
The seminar will be organised at Indian School Muscat on Tuesday, 21 February (6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) and Indian School Al Seeb on Wednesday, 22 February (6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m). Similar programmes will be organised at Indian Schools in the interior regions in the subsequent week.
This comes after Times of Oman reported that there are more stressed parents than stressed students as exams near, with seven out of every 10 calls to the hotline coming from parents.
Wilson George, Chairman, Board of Directors, Indian schools in Sultanate of Oman, said: “They want to race for good marks and hence the parents of top scoring pupils are feeling more pressure.”
Around 3,800 students are appearing for board exams of Indian schools in March while 350 students will appear for Pakistan board exams this year.
