Rain expected in northern parts of Oman

Muscat: Rain is expected in northern parts of Oman this afternoon, the Oman meteorology department tweeted on its official twitter handle.

“Isolated rain over northern governorates of the Sultanate, with chances of thundershowers and hail over Al Hajar Mountains toward afternoon,” the meteorology department’s tweet read.
In its weather bulletin, the meteorology department has also forecast poor visibility during thundershowers and fog patches.
On Saturday, heavy rain fell in Rustaq and Nakhal areas leading to overflow of wadis and causing traffic jams in the areas.
