Muscat: Having opened its doors just six months ago after an extensive renovation, the Sheraton Oman Hotel in Muscat on Tuesday announced it has topped the prestigious TripAdvisor ratings.
The 230-room hotel has consistently received positive guest reviews and return customers.
“TripAdvisor is a platform that completely relies on the experiences and opinions of the travel community to determine market leaders, and we are thrilled to top the ratings. This honour only inspires our team to keep offering our guests the finest personalised experiences,” said Thomas van Opstal, general manager, Sheraton Oman Hotel.
Best known for its service that honours the Omani tradition of hospitality, the hotel is also loved for its world-class food and beverages offerings.
To showcase the extraordinary culinary talents of the chefs, guests and residents are invited to experience a unique palette of flavours during daily special themed dinners. Food aficionados are in for festive promotions, such as lavish Iftar and Sohour delicacies during the holy month of Ramadan.
Marites, the recreation manager, said: “What we have achieved in six months from the opening is phenomenal. Being a pre-opened hotel is not easy, yet we made it.” The associates needs to be appreciated, this will motivate them every day to achieve a greater result.”
Predicting the next six months, Sameh, director of Guest Services, said: “This is just the beginning. Getting to the number one position is one thing; we need to make sure we retain that position.”
Speaking about the most challenging part, Andrea Emmerling, hotel manager, Sheraton Oman Hotel, said: “The most challenging part has been to train 240 associates at the same time and to instil a level of consistency as; in a new hotel, you have a lot of different nationalities and diverse backgrounds coming together.”
