Muscat: Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) celebrated the 17th anniversary of the Royal visit of His Majesty Sultan
Qaboos bin Said during a ceremony under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Hinai, State Advisor.
SQU unveiled the winner projects of the Royal grant of this year. Dr. Ali bin Saud Al Bimani, SQU Vice Chancellor highlighted a group of SQU achievements during the current academic year. He said that the University was able to register three patents during 2017.
In order to strengthen the active community partnership and to activate the role of the private sector in supporting comprehensive development, a unit for the hearing disabled students at the SQU College of Arts and Social Sciences was equipped.
At the end of the ceremony, a scientific research documentary, prepared by the Scientific Publishing and Communication Department was presented. 287 researchers, academics, distinguished employees and scientific award winners, as well as students who excel scientifically and are active in activities were honoured.
The Consultant Research Exhibition, which includes the most important research consultancy provided by SQU to government and private institutions in the Sultanate was opened.
