Omani-Qatari Joint Committee launches second stage of Jabro rocks export project

Muscat: Omani-Qatari Joint Committee on Thursday launched the second stage of Jabro rock export project to the sisterly State of Qatar.
The Omani side in the meeting was patronised by Darwish bin Ismail Al Balushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs and head of the Omani side in the Omani-Qatari Joint Committee and the Qatari side was led by Ali Shareef Al Emadi, Minister of Finance and head of the Qatari side in the Committee.
The meeting aimed at enhancing bilateral relations, cementing friendship bonds and activating bilateral cooperation between the two sisterly countries in all fields.
The meeting discussed means of enhancing and deepening bilateral cooperation in investment, economic, commercial, cultural, tourism, sports and other fields that serve common interests. The meeting also followed up what have been agreed upon in the previous meetings.
The meeting also discussed means of facilitating all difficulties facing the joint ventures including the Karwa Auto Motors factory, Diyar Ras Al Hadd and Al Mira projects.
The two sides stressed the importance of exerting more efforts and benefiting from the available resources to achieved the targeted aims and the aspirations of the leaders of the two countries His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al- Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.
The Committee signed minutes of the meeting including the recommendations agreed upon.
The meeting was attended by Jassim Saif al- Sultaiti, Minister of Transport and Communications of Qatar and a number of representatives from relevant organizations in both countries.
It should be noted that the Omani-Qatari Joint Committee meets alternatively between the two countries each year, where the 17th sessions in March 2016 in the Qatari capital Doha.
