Muscat: Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran) will need around 500 housing units for its employees over the next few months, according to James Wilson, the company’s chief executive officer (CEO).
This was revealed during a meeting with Mohamed bin Salem Al Busaidi, chairman of the Board of Directors of Oman Real Estate Association, and Deputy Chairman of the Board Hassan bin Mohammed bin Juma.
The chief executive officer of Omran confided that the local real estate market can meet this demand by providing accommodation for its employees, who are working on the construction of four large hotels in the capital, Muscat, and other projects.
He also stated that Omran will continue to implement its projects and is geared up for the actual start of Muttrah’s waterfront development project.
Affirming his full and unlimited support for the Oman Real Estate Association, Wilson said the association plays a vital role in the development of real estate brokerage, real estate development and the organisation of working mechanisms and upgrading the labour sector.
