Muscat: An innovative way to promote Oman’s tourism has been launched through a Brahraini citizen’s magic show called “Celebrities Magically Uncovered.”
“I came to Oman for a three-day visit, but I was captivated by its beauty. I do not mean just the beauty of nature, which makes the Sultanate, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful countries in the Gulf, but also the beauty of its people, their psychology and their treatment that made me feel at home,” Adel Jawahery, the magician said.
“I had planned on starting in another Arab country, but my visit to the Sultanate changed my plan because I knew that what I found in Oman would not be found anywhere else,” he said.
According to the Bahraini magician, the idea behind the show is to market the Sultanate in a smart and indirect way, by hosting famous artists from Arab and foreign countries, including India, and presenting the programme with an interesting character that contains light games and fun questions for the guests.
“Celebrities Magically Uncovered” will consist of 10 episodes in its first season, of which two episodes have been filmed so far. The show will be streamed on YouTube and there is a plan for its future appearance on television.
Al Jawhery explained that with proper support for the programme, he may continue to film the second season in Oman.
“My love for Oman is more important than the financial return, and I am proud to contribute to spreading (Omani) tourism. This initiative, regardless of the money, will remain in my name,” he stated.
According to the magician, the choice of more than one photographer was to show the different talents of Oman’s youth and that each episode will be a special achievement for the photographer.
“We are working together with a full Omani team of eight people. They are striving within their country and working from their heart. The director is also Omani, who is preparing everything behind the scenes. “
