Two dead in road accidents in Oman

Muscat: Two people were killed in two different accidents in Dakhilya governorate on Saturday evening.

In the first accident, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) said that a driver of vehicle lost control and hit six other vehicles at Nizwa Muscat Road at around 11pm on Saturday. “While one person died in this accident, the injured persons were shifted to Nizwa Hospital,” a statement from Royal Oman Police revealed.

Nearly an hour later, another accident took place in Wadi Al-Ouq when a speeding truck killed one person while injuring four others.

According to the ROP, three expatriates were injured when a truck collided with three other vehicles. “A collision between a truck and another three vehicles in the Wadi Al-Ouq resulted in one dead and four injured,” the ROP said in statement.
