Bangladeshis in Oman celebrate anniversary of ‘Father of the Nation’

Muscat: The 96th Birth Anniversary of Bangladesh's 'Father of the Nation' Banga Bandhu Sheikh Majibur Rahman and the country's National Children Day were celebrated at the Embassy premises, Shati Al Qurum, on 17th March, 2016.
Bangladesh Ambassador Sheikh Sikender Ali, who was the chief guest, delivered his speech. The entire programme was beautifully compered by the Counsellor and Head of Chancery, Abdul Hassan Mridha.
Entire staff of the Bangladesh Embassy, including Zahed Ahmed Counsellor (Labour) and Anwar Uddin, First Secretary, both of whom have newly joined, attended the programme.
Among others who attended the programme were Bangladesh School's principal, director, administrator, dignitaries from various parts of Oman, doctors, engineers and members of the business community.
At the end, two birthday cakes presented by the Banga Bandhu Parishad were cut by H.E. Sheikh Sikender Ali.
