Muscat: A’ Saffa Foods, one of the fastest growing food producers in the Sultanate, said its total net sales for 2015 reached OMR31.86 million. The net sales for 2014 were OMR30.45 million, showing an increase in company’s sales revenue, hence registering a growth of 4.63 per cent.
The results were announced by the A’Saffa Foods chairman, Sheikh Rashid Saif Mohammed Al Saadi, who dedicated the growth results towards the excellent team work from all the expanding business units, with staff working hard to achieve the goals they were set to maximise shareholder returns, said a company release.
“The management continues to focus on the dynamic markets and is committed to improve over previous performance records. The focus on operational excellence is the key factor to future success of the company, creation of long term value to all the stakeholders while ensuring sustainability in its operations,” said Dr Nasser Zahir Nasser Al Maawali, chief executive officer of A’Saffa Foods at the company’s annual general meeting.
The chairman emphasised that 2015 witnessed a considerable growth and was able to achieve very strong financial results.
“With the company’s new range of processed food products that include poultry, red meat, and frozen vegetables, fruits, fruit pulp under A’Saffa, Khayrat and Taybat brands; the sustainable growth and brand variation in our products has helped us achieve maximum growth and look forward to spearhead our operation in the same manner for the coming months too. With the state of the art highly automated plant at A’Saffa Food Processing, located in Rusayl – Muscat, we ensure all value-added processed value products are delivered to our consumers fresh, pure, healthy and tasty,” added the chairman.
“The year 2015 has therefore been another milestone year for our company with strong performance across all dimensions. It has been made all the more memorable with the organisation achieving the OMR31 million-mark in revenue at the end of the financial year. This has been made possible by the sustained performance by the employees, executive management and higher management,” the chairman concluded.
