OMR1.6 billion circulated in Oman in 2018

Muscat: The Central Bank Of Oman announced the accumulated value of all currency circulated in the country until the end of March, 2018.

"The Central Bank of Oman announces that the aggregate value of all currency circulated in the Sultanate until the end of March amounted to OMR 1,626,940,568.125."

Article 48 of the Banking Law issued by the Royal Decree No. 114/2000 stipulates that the "Central Bank shall publish in the Official Gazette, at least once a month, the aggregate value of all currency then in circulation and the aggregate value of any special issues authorised by the Central Bank."
