Muscat: Eagle Hills, a private real estate investment and development company, has announced its entry into Oman with the launch of Mandarin Oriental, Muscat. The property will be developed by Eagle Hills Muscat, a partnership between Eagle Hills Abu Dhabi and Izz International, and will be managed by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
Mandarin Oriental, Muscat, which is set to open in 2021, will feature 150 guestrooms and suites, five restaurants and bars, a spa and an outdoor swimming pool. A variety of banqueting and meeting spaces will also be available for social and business events, in addition to a one-of-a-kind ballroom offering spectacular views of the Oman Sea.
The property will also comprise 155 residences, with apartments ranging from 75 to 260 square metres in size. The residences at Mandarin Oriental are Oman’s first high-end branded residences.
The property will be located on the beach in a prime city location. The low-rise architectural design inspired by the Omani cultural legacy will take full advantage of the remarkable sea views.
Low Ping, CEO of Eagle Hills, said, “We are delighted to be venturing into the vibrant Omani market for the first time, and particularly in the capital, Muscat, where we aim to provide both residents and tourists with new levels of sophistication and service in partnership with the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. Muscat is a beautiful destination that is steeped in heritage and we are honoured to have the opportunity to be part of the city’s future.”
