Images of worship: Jame’ Al Zulfa

Al Zulfa mosque, also known as The Royal Guard of Oman Mosque, is located right on Sultan Qaboos highway in Seeb, facing the palace of Bait Barka. It has a very distinctive design that sets it apart from other mosques in the area. It was opened in 1992, featuring more than 20 green-coloured domes, gigantic darkened windows on its walls, and abundant trees. It has a star-like design on the entrance, and an interesting interior, especially where the Imam stands – an all-gold spot.
