Oman's NCSI releases Demographic Atlas of Economy 2018

Muscat: An atlas describing the Sultanate’s demographic, social and economic indicators with the support of maps has been released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
‘Demographic Atlas of Economy 2018’ elaborates on the relative distribution of these indicators across the Sultanate.
The publication of the atlas, comprised of three main chapters, comes as part of the NCSI’s efforts to draw a clear picture of the diversity among various indicators throughout the country.
The first chapter covers a number of demographic indicators, including the distribution of the Sultanate’s population according to gender, nationality, total fertility rate, birth rate, and mortality rate.
The second chapter of the atlas examines social indicators related to employment, job seekers, education, health, social security, and disability.
The third chapter describes the economic indicators on land planning and use, construction permits and facilities operating in the Sultanate, hotels, fisheries, exports, and imports.
