Traffic warning: Truck explosion leads to tailbacks in Muscat

Muscat: A truck has exploded in the middle of the Muscat Expressway, causing a traffic jam, the Royal Oman Police has announced.
Officials said that the traffic jam was situated in the direction headed towards Sohar.
According to the ROP’s statement, “Currently there is a traffic congestion on the Muscat Expressway, Al Mabela flyover in the direction of Sohar, the traffic jam is due to a truck that exploded."
The fire was put out by rescue teams, with officials confirming that no injuries or deaths had been recorded as a result of the incident.
The ROP has asked motorists to exercise caution while driving on this stretch of road.
