Khareef: Blue jewels of Salalah

Salalah boasts some of Oman’s most pristine, sandy beaches that stretch for kilometres around the coastline of Dhofar. One can enjoy the beauty of its deep blue waters along white sands, serving as a must-visit for all Khareef season visitors.
There are many beaches spread across the coast, but some are really spectacular and can be called the blue jewels of Salalah. They are a perfect stop for a family picnic.
The most popular beach is Al Mughsayl, which offers scenic views of Salalah’s nature.

You have blue ocean on one side, exotic-looking mountains on the other, separated by hilly roads that make this place a one-of-a-kind destination. The place is also known for the famous blowholes.
Another beach with a hilly roadmap full of thrilling adventures is Al Fazayah beach, which is about half an hour drive away from Al Mughsayl. The beach is known for having soft sands in Oman, and is quite secluded.
Make sure to drive out before night time as it becomes really dark, or camp with the family for a night to remember.

If you love palm trees and Caribbean coconut-filled vibe, then visit Ad Dahariz beach, a place adorned with many palm trees and white sands. The place has a relaxing atmosphere, especially in the evening, where walkways are lit with bollard lights that elevate the whole beach experience into a memorable one.
You can barbecue, toss some marshmallows on fire, or drink coconut water while indulging in Salalah’s coastal beauty.
