Hockey: Team Coorg, OHA to hold Independence Day tourney

MUSCAT: Team Coorg, Muscat and Friends of Naqvi Group along with Oman Hockey Association (OHA) will organise a hockey tournament to celebrate India’s Independence Day.
The 13th edition of the tournament will be held at the Seeb Hockey Stadium to mark the 71st anniversary of India’s Independence which will kick off on August 10.
Team Coorg Muscat who have been patronising the game in Oman will be fielding two teams, one consisting of young hockey enthusiasts and the other made up of Veterans. The other two outfits featuring in the one day tournament are Team Coorg UAE and UTSC Muscat.
Team Coorg UAE will make the long journey from Dubai to participate in the festive occasion, where as UTSC Muscat have been regular participants over the past few years.
According to the organisers the tournament will take place from 3pm and will culminate with the prize-giving ceremony at 8.30pm. All hockey lovers are cordially invited to witness this event.
