United Nations award for Omani health official

New York: Dr. Ali bin Taleb Al Hinai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Planning Affairs got the United Nations Common Teamwork Award
for 2018. Al Hinai was among the seven persons selected from the Ministry of Health all over the world in appreciation of their contribution to achieving the objectives of the sustainable development for controlling non-epidemic diseases.
The awards were presented on the sidelines of the high-level meeting of non-communicable diseases at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The declaration for combatting non-epidemic diseases was announced at the 10th meeting held in Vienna in February 2018.
