Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said yesterday issued two Royal Decrees.
Royal Decree No. 23/2016 amends the name of the Human Rights Commission.
Article (1) states that the name of the Human Rights Commission quoted in Royal Decree No. 124/2008 shall be replaced with “Oman Human Rights Commission”.
Article (2) cancels all that contradicts this decree or contravenes its provisions.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of issue.
Royal Decree No. 24/2016 appoints the members of Oman Human Rights Commission.
Article (1) appoints the persons listed below, in their capacity as representatives of the departments stated in Article (1) of the above-mentioned Royal Decree No. 124/2008, as members of Oman Human Rights Commission as follows:
Dr. Issa bin Said bin Sulaiman Al Kiyumi as Chairman, Yusuf bin Abdullah bin Nasser Al Afifi as Deputy Chairman, and the following persons as members:-Neimah bint Jameel bin Farhan Al Busaidiyah, Sheikh Ali bin Hamad bin Saif Al Kalbani, Is’haq bin Jumaa bin Hamoud Al Kharousi, Dr. Hamad bin Hamdan bin Saif Al Rabi’ee, Yahya bin Abdullah bin Mubarak Al Amri, Dr. Hissah bint Abdullah bin Said Al Badiyah, Dr. Amal bint Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Hashmiyah, Dr. Sheikh Shihab bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Jabri, Eiman bint Mohammed bin Abdunnabi Macki, Mohammed bin Said bin Mohammed AlHinai, Dr. Nasser bin Saif bin Nasser Al Shamsi and Fahd bin Ahmed bin Hamad Al Jabri.
Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of issue.
