PACP recovers more than OMR21,000 for consumers

Muscat: More than OMR21,000 has been recovered for consumers in the Wilayat Barka since the beginning of the year, the Public Authority for Consumer Protection has announced.
Officials at PACP said that these recoveries were a result of the efforts of the Consumer Protection Dept. in Barka to resolve complaints amicably in the first quarter of 2019.
Overall, OMR21,602 was recovered from various sectors following consumer complaints. A total of OMR8,670 was recovered from the labour services sector, followed by travel and tourism services with OMR 4,143.
OMR3,620 was paid back by furniture stores, and another OMR3.359 by the construction, aluminium and carpentry sectors.
